can anyone recommend a computer that has good specs and is under £550. I will use it for some gaming and otehr general uses. I wish to be able to upgrade it in the future if possible.

p.s - i dont want to build one

I would not recommend an prebuild (Dell, Compaq, HP, Acer, Alienware, ect), I would recommend an custom built, as they are cheaper, and you can customize it to you direct wantings. I would use www.ebuyer.com in this case. Please answer if which of these 2 you want.
 
Are there any custom computer shops in your area? If so we can make a list of what components that are within your budget minus the cost of them building it. That way you can tell them what you want, and not let them talk you down to what they think you need.

I do agree that HP, Dell and Gateway are trash. And most other places that will build you a "custom" computer are way over priced.
