Need advice re specs listed below. Is this okay to use for games? I am a newbie and my son is requesting for a gamer's PC. Need help!

1 AMD AM3 Athlon II X2 250 3.0ghz 2mb dual core

1 Gigabyte M61PME-S2 Nvidia GF6100 ddr2 pcie am2

1 DDR2 PC800 2Gb memory

1 Palit Redfox Axle GF9400 GT 1GB 128bit pcie
1 SATA Western 320gb 7200rpm 16mb

1 Samsung 22x dvd writer sata

1 Casing Xmen Colossus transide 500w

1 A4tech KBS720 / KLS230 keyboard ps2 -black

1 A4tech OP620D 2X Click Mini Optical ps2

1 Labsic LS-DY701 Headset w/ mic

1 16" AOC 1619SW LCD Monitor

1 Powerplus DTS AVR 500watts
 
That's not really a good gaming PC at all. It would handle most games on lower settings, but it'll start to lag behind on newer games.

What's your budget?

Get a better Video card. Probably look at least 4650/4670 GDDR3 ($50 - 70)

Do you prepare to build yourself or just buy one?

Whats a better package then, the AMD AM3 Athlon II x2 250 or the one posted below.
