re-installing windows 7 and need some advice

ok he it is i have 2 HHD and my main hard drive i have windows 7 home installed on it i want to upgrade it to windows 7 ultimate so i can remote access it, stupid Microsoft grr, and well all my important stuff is on my 2nd hard drive like all my music,photos,games,movies only stuff on my primary hhd are the actual programs which will take me no more then a few hours to re install all them so if i go ahead and do this and do a fresh in stall so its a good install will it touch the other internal hhd??
 
It will not touch your second hard drive. However, its always safer to remove the second hard drive from the system before you do any type of upgrading or reinstalling.
 
thank you thats just want i wanted to hear!! another qustion just hit me if that is the case cant i just move my c drive over to the 2nd hard drive and after the installation i can just transfer it back over?
 
All programs would have to be reinstalled as when you install programs they write registry entries and system32 entries in order for the program to work correctly. So no, you can't just copy programs from drive to drive.
