ok my comp has been going really slow ever since last night when i tried to install a game...i can barely play anything and even the mouse cursor lags sometimes...i really need help...btw i did defrag it after like 5 hours of waiting

The first two questions are: What game did you try to install? and was the install successful (other than the noticeable sluggishness)?

well...it was splinter cell:chaos theory...but u should probably know the truth that it was a torrent.. ...it said i had to download a program called starf*** so i did, after i did THEN everything started slowing to crap...i dont trust those dang torrents anymore and i guess ive learned my lesson but what can i do?

You really need to run a spyware scan. I suggest you
use Spybot and Adaware SE if you don't have any
spyware removal software. Both are free versions.

You might also run a virus scan. I suggest AVG
Free if you don't have any or run an online
virus scan.
