Ready to buy GPU today..

So, the day has come to retire the 750ti into a backup build.

I'm looking on Canadian Newegg and want to blow some dough on a 980 or a 980Ti

Which make is best in these 2 types of cards.?

I see alot of EVGA. Can anyone recommend one? Also, is a backplate needed? I see some include one!

I'd wait on the backplate and see how much the card hangs. Then look for one after the fact.

Depends on how much you wanna spend. I know I won't be spending more than $450 on a card when I upgrade in the next few months.

So first off..hats off to Newegg.ca I got my new 980 in less than 24 hours.... at holiday time.. thats insanity!!!

And this MSI 980 is so sick!!!! I'm so stoked and pleased with what this thing is capable of.

Ya the packaging, extras, and product itself are all quality.

It was a nice package to open.. the card feels so solid in the rig
