I've been waiting and looking for a few months now. I posted up a build here earlier, and got a little feedback but was hoping for a little more. I dont want to spend over $750 or $800 dollars for this build, and this is what i put together.

This is my first computer build, so obviously im a little nervous to bite the bit. I just wanna check and make sure everything is compatible. Also any input that anyone could give..suggestions on something i should change? anything i don't need that i could get something cheaper in place? will the mid tower case be fine or should i get a full case?

I will be using windows xp since i already have a disk for it..my main worries is that everything will be compatible with the mobo..the cpu and the video card.

Oh the computer will be used for mild gaming like WoW, CS, but i do want it to be able to handle bettter games, should i ever pick one up. Thanks in advance

Get a 790gx motherboard instead. It's the platform that the phenom II is supposed to work better with. And get a 512 radeon 4850 graphics card instead, the 4800 series is the video card made to run best with that platform, and is ALOT better card than that one you have picked out. It will run new games, and future games alot better. Also you can get 550 or 650w power supply instead.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004 That 750 is way overkill for your system. and get this ram instead :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231184 and also get a hard drive with a 32mb cache, it's alot faster. try this one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148288 Mid tower will be fine, but go with cheaper ram. That that I linked you too is awesome, because of the heat spreaders, but they have great ram for about 45 dollars that will do you right. That will be alot cheaper, and a lower power power supply will be cheaper also.

you have good taste, that's the same cpu I bought, and same case I am getting. Nice build!

They should come with the corresponding components. It will be worth 800 man, a 4850 is a freakin excellent card, just look up reviews of it.

normally id say dont get biostar. you want quality, and biostar is crap. but everything else there is not very good eitehr, so I recommened spending an extra 20 bucks and get MSI Zotac, ASUS.

video card is good.

Keep that 750W power supply, you aren't going to find a better band for your buck, plus it has 1 12V rail, so you don't have to worry about balancing power requirements.

This mobo is going to have Firewire on it in addition to a lot of the other features the other has: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157139

Here's a chart that compiles the card's scores in multiple games at multiple resolutions and adds in the 3DMark score as well... http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/...q3-2008/Sum-of-FPS-Benchmarks-Totals,795.html

isnt ASROCK cheapo stuff? Like I said, maybe you should spend more in order to get higher quality parts.

Going off the reviews on NewEgg and friend's experiences who have owned these boards, ASRock is actually pretty good.

The 4850 is a good card for your budget. I'd go with some DDR2 800 RAM, like this set. You will not see any benefit from 1066 speeds.

well...its ordered lol..nuthin i can do now but wait..im think it'll all work out well

thanks for all the input everyone
