ReadyBoost

I just picked up a USB drive that has "Ready Boost". So, where is the "Ready Boost"? I know that it turns the free space into RAM for Vista... but is it part of the hardware of the drive? or is it software on the disk? I'd like to clean off the disk because it came with a bunch of crap on it that I don't want (U3)... but I don't know if I can, because I want to keep it readyboost enabled.

Yeah, my Sandisk Cruzer's all came with U3 and I just wiped it clean, it makes it seem as two drives:rolleyes:

but readyboost still worked... right?

I have XP right now, but I'm getting Vista later on, maybe a couple months.

Also, does readyboost work with all versions of vista? I plan on getting Home Premium

Yeah it should b/c all drives don't come with U3, lol. I have played around on my friend's Vista, as far as I know all versions have it.
