Really Hot computer!

Ok guys, i got another problem. My comp's cpu runs at like 55-60 on no load and when my processor is at like 30% i get into the 70's! This is kinda of wierd because im using really good cooling equipment.

Case - Xion II: 2 intake fans (120mm, 80mm), 120mm Exahust fan
PSU - OCZ Powerstream 500w (also gets hot to the touch.) 2 fans.
CPU - Intel Dual Core 3.0ghz 800sidebus
heatsink - Aftermarket thermatake Thermaltake CL-P0006 Cooling heatesink (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106045)
CPU fan - 80mm.
Artic 5 was used!

i applyed a very thin even coat to the processor. I spread it out evenly with a razor so that it was as thin as possible without showing any of the actual processor. I think ill try it again and see what happens. Then im gonna try and rearange my fans to have 2 intake and one exahst instead on 2 exaust and 1 intake.

1. Thats a crappy heatsink (sorry)
2. What fan are you using? (rather, what's the CFM rating on it).

32.4 CFM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811998111

regardless of the heatsink, proving the probelem even further, is the following: i switched the heatsink to stock, just for arguments sake and whatever, and i get a loading sequence error saying that the cpu is too hot and i need to shutdown (where then the computer shuts itself down imidediatly(sp?)) So this is pretty bogus, especialyl since the fsb and multiplier are both stock (no ocing) and there is a good airflow through out the case. Any way i just wrote to intel after my stock HSF incident...

So are you still at the point where you can boot the computer? With your stock hsf in place, or thermaltake, reset cmos, with the jumper on your m/b and try to boot again.

With the stock cooler, after letting the cpu cool down, i can get the thing to boot. It gets about half way through the loading sequence of the motherboard when it gives me a "WARNING: CPU TEMP IS INSANE" or something (i dont really remember specifics) and then shuts down. With my thermatake and a new fan i bought i get about 46-48 on 1% cpu usage. Still high in my opinion. I think ill just keep saving for some liquid cooling or a thermalright heatsink. As i do more and more research ive just seen these processors as hot boxes to begin with (people are having the same exact results as me) and therefore im not too worried about the problem considering ive got the 3 year warrenty and christmas is around the corner. For now ill just keep messing with more and more fans and see how things go. Anyway, thanks for your help and any further input would still be greatly appriciated...

Did you reset the cmos? this would set bios back to default. Sound like the computer is shutting down too soon, whats your warning and shut down temp. at? they might be too low, 46-48c is a good mid range temp, its not too bad.
