Really SLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWW Internet Help!!!!

The main thing I need to do with my internet is play online xbox 360 games. I currently have a shitty local service that has speeds at like 0.5kbps both upload and download. So I have a few questions. What is the best type of internet for online gaming that I can get right now? I live in the country and I dont have a phone line. Should I get att satellite broadband? I think they have 6mbps download and 768kbps upload or something?
 
I would get a service similar to t6b.com basically it uses an Antenna that sends information to a tower with a fast internet connection. I had that while living in the country for several years, it wasn't perfect but I was able to get on Xbox Live without much lag 95% of the time. 5% of the time I was frustrated with slow speeds yelling at the tech support.

So what kind of speeds are we looking at here. My current internet seems similar to this. I have an antenna on the side of my house and it communicates with another antenna within a line of sight? While I play xbox live I notice that it is ok when I first get on but then it gets terrible after a short time. Kicking me out of call of duty games left and right:mad: . Was your connection better than this? I experiance lag so bad sometimes that before I can even react to shoot someone I am already lying dead on the ground.

What other services do you have access to in your area? Any cable companies? If so, I'd go with cable. If a faster DSL service is available but not cable, just go DSL.
