Really Weird Problem...

When ever my computer is put into standby mode, my second ide hard drive dissappears, it doesnt show up in my computer, windows media player cant play music because it says the files cant be found.......oh, and when i look in my computer to check that its still there, i cant see it, the only way to fix it is to reboot the computer.... :mad: i think it doesnt like me, and goes on vacation or something.... :o
 
I assum your 2nd drive is your 40G? My Raptor RAID won't spin back up if they spin down while windows is running. They will if I come out of standby...

Heh, and some computers just seem to not like suspend :P My old machine, it was odd... It would run ok for a few mintues, but when I used the sound card, it started making all these freaky distored noises, then the whole thing would lock up.

Maybe there's something you can change in Device manager. If I'm not mistaken, there's a way you can leave some things on while in suspend. Perhaps if you don't shut off your IDE/SATA and/or HDs, it might help?
