Realtek Digital Output not working?

So, under Playback Devices I'm trying to play my audio through Realtek Digital Output but it won't play. I can see the sound bar jumping up and down when I have audio on but nothing is coming through. Anyone know what might be going on? The jack information is displaying it as the "rear panel optical jack" as opposed to the analog jack.

Did you set it as the default device? It'll take a program restart for this to take effect.

Disable anything you're not using just to reduce variables.

Did set it as the default device (in Playback Devices) but didn't restart my computer. Restarted it now, still didn't work. Disabled "speakers", still no dice.
