Reapplying heatsink paste. Malfunction?

Hi, I recently reapplied some fresh heatsink paste onto my vidoecard and then reinstalled it within the case. When i tried to boot my comuter it started running for something like 2 seconds only to turn itself off again. I am quite experienced when it come to computer hardware and how to build computers, but this has never occured before. I don't know how to fix it and its starting to go on my nerves. :/

Im guessing that the reason for all this is a short, but i still dont know how to fix it. Any suggestions? Gratefull for any sort of help

By the way, all of the fans and everything start during those two seconds only to be turned off again.

How did you apply the thermal paste? What one did you use. Try booting without the video and see if it stays on

No need to worry, I sorted it. Just a couple of wires touching where the were no isolation, ( should have thought of that before duh, things couldve gone bad! ) Everything turned out ok.
