Different programs have different tjmax values,i dont think intel has released the tjunction information on the core i7's yet,but personally i use everest which for me shows the same temps that realtemp does
alright so you would trust everst over speedfan? And should I be monitoring the temps of my cores or just the cpu overall because the cpu over all is a good 13 C cooler than my hottest core?

The monitor you should be looking at are the core temperatures, core 1 and core 2 respectively, and i trust everest for temperatures and whatnot, great bit of software, especially when you have G15 keyboard cuz you can put whatever info you want on the lcd
