Rebooting Loop In XP Pro

Someone brought me a hp machine to look at . It's like in a boot loop. Constant restart. When it boots up it goes into the safe mode choice screen. No matter what you pick it will attempt to boot into windows(windows pro) but it gets to the "checking disk for consistency " and after checking the disk it very quickly gives you a blue screen "like a stop error" but it restarts instantly. I can't even read the error code because it restarts so fast . Any suggestions here. It's an hp 700mhz so its a little old . 3 or 4 years.

What was installed last to create this error. Software or hardware. Most likely it is a hardware issue, and you can just remove the item that was last installed. Look online for a fix, then reinstall. If nothing has been added resently, i would take the hd out and plug it into a slave on another winxp pro machine and let it fix it as a slave. If the hd boots up normally as a slave no problems then either the somthing else has broken... or the first thing I discussed.
