A friend is asking me to rebuild her Asus Eee PC 901 Netbook. Is there anything I should be aware of? I was worried about the SSD and how it's partitioned. Can this be partitioned into one large drive just like a normal HDD? Any tips for where to download the drivers would be great.

    thanks

I don't see why not...its a hard drive. BUT, you might want to take a look at the drive first and see how the drive is setup...how many partitions, if there are any recovery partitions (which you might want to keep), etc.

the partitions are not needed unless you absolutely need them. When i had my netbook i wiped the hard drives and installed windows vista on it with a flash drive since theres no cd roms.

Asus website should have the drivers for that model.

Thanks for replying guys. I really appreciate it. I actually do want to delete the partitions.

bigrich- Did you just copy the Windows CD onto a flash drive then boot it from USB? Did you have change the boot sequence in the Bios or just lauch an exe. from the flash drive.
