Reccomendation for AMD athlon XP motherboard.

Thread : My uncle is building a new comp for christmas. This will be be used as a gameing machine. He is looking for help on choosing the best amd MB for 120$ or less. The most important feature is upgradibility. All replys will be greatfully appreciaeed.

Socket A/462 for the XP Athlon have been discontinued for a while. You could probable find a few good used ones. But most of the new ones sold are few and far between and pretty lowend. AMD has done went from Socket A/462 to 754-939-AM2-AM2+ and going to socket AM3 pretty soon.

Would not be a good platform to build a gamming computer, pretty lowend and not upgradable
 
Yeah, as StrangleHold said, an AthlonXP rig won't be much for gaming... he'd be much better off with socket AM2+ and a Phenom, or one of the new Phenom II's. If those are too expensive there's always the Athlon 64 X2 series processors like I have, but they aren't ideal for gaming.
