Reccomendations for used laptop?

Looking to buy a used laptop for general use, no gaming etc. Naturally money is tight right now, so that's weighing in on things...

Or instead of going for second hand ebay, you can find refurb laptop.

Check computer forums like this one (maybe some with more members and high activity) for used laptops and such.

I got my mum a Dell D610 for $100, with XP installed and a battery that still holds 100% charge.
