recognise what type of RAM?
hi,
hw do we recognise what type of RAM is it just by looking at it (if its not having any sticker on it with what type it is
....).
or only when we put on motherboard we come to know that this ram is supported or not suppoted by it......?

Usually you can tell by where the keying notch(es) are. DDR and DDR2 have notches in almost the same spot, with DDR2 having it slightly closer to the middle.
The top is DDR2, bottom DDR
