recommend a first person shooter to newbie with powerful computer

cod 4 is pretty amazing, iv been playing it a lot lately and to my surprise not many of the games had hackers, aimbots etc.

unlike when i last plaed cod 1 online which was plagued by them :P

battlefield 2142 is cool as well

EDIT: crysis 2 without a doubt, i got it today and my machine is lacking somewhat and it plays flawlessly and looks beautiful, i can only imagine what it would look like ona powerful machine

get it seriously, online its so much better than cod

Half Life 2, BF2, MW1, CSS if you're into old games.

BC2, MW2 (if you're into twitch shooters) for newer games.

If you really want to push the limits of your computer then check out Crysis and Crysis 2.

iv been doing things like this alot because it keeps showing on my computer that i havent commented or that my comments in a different place :P
