@mihir I have never played portal, isnt it just a puzzle game with no plot? I like plots

@nyxcharon What is Garys Mod? something with hl2 right?

I just checked out demon souls, its on the ps3 which is cool... the reviews say the game is impossible... is that true at all?

It has a story too, and its not like sudoku or anything,it is a totally different game and everyone I know who ever has played the game has loved it. :D
It is more like a First Person Shooter but you will have to apply some brains and you cannot kill people nor can you shoot bullets.

Garys mod is multiple things. It's a physics engine, and it imports weapons/items/characters/etc from every pretty much every valve game you have. (most people just get hl2 with it, which is good by itself anyway) from there, you can do a lot. You can build, blow up, do whatever you want. It's like gta, except your god. Though you do die lol. There's also alternative modes like racing, zombie survival, pretty much anything you can imagine. You'll find some entertaining servers for sure.

It's not impossible at all. It is difficult for the run and gun gamer who thinks he should be able to mow through everything in a game but the bosses.

In Demon Souls everything can kill you. However you can kill everything once you learn how to attack and defend and level your character. If an area is too hard you can go to another one and level up then come back. The game can be considered hard but very fair. If you die it's because you messed up.

With all the online help I didn't find it all that hard. The atmosphere alone sold me on the game. It has some extras that I've never seen in a game before. Such as other players being able to leave you messages on the ground. Words of warning and such as to what lies ahead. You also see bloodstains where other players have died. You can activate the bloodstain and see the last few seconds of the other persons life.

It made the whole thing feel connected and interactive. I haven't played anything else like it, and these days that's saying something when just about every game feels like something else.

I have to agree on that. The game is definitely not easy, but not impossible.
Though that can't really be said for the next play through. haha, seriously in newgame+ the difficulty goes up about 40%.

My favorite part is the perspective it makes you take. When playing any new game, anyone would be like "okay, let's get through the tutorial stage. hurry up, I want to actually play the game".

You think that in demon souls for about 5 seconds til you die from the very first mob. From there you realize this game can kick your ass. And it does. Over and over and over again. But you learn, and it makes you a better player.

Yep get it. The sequel Dark Souls is coming later this year, so you can probably find some good deals on Demon's Souls.

If you feel stuck just go online and do a search for the stage you are in. There are videos on youtube of every stage and of every boss. If I got really stuck I'd go check one out and then I'd keep on.

Just don't ruin the game for yourself by watching every boss fight.
