Recommend me FREE Games!

In my current financial situation, it's simply not possible for me to afford new games at all, I can barely buy my own lunch. I'm currently using my dad's computer, but it's not that bad.

Current Setup:

Sony VAIO VGC-RB50
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 640 (3.2 GHz)
FSB - 800MHz
512MB of PC-3200 400MHz DDR SDRAM
250GB 7200RPM Serial ATA(TM) HDD

Programs:
AVG Free
COMODO Firewall Pro
Spybot Search & Destroy

I haven't played video games in years, but I have some free time on my hands so I can now. I used to play NFS Underground using some cheap controller that I still have around, and same with some old joystick I used to play Flight Simulator with. I like racing games, shooting games, so just whatever their is recommend to me.

Do you know if his laptop has integrated video? If it does, then your game selection will be severely limited.

Only racing and shooting games? Any other genres you are into? The racing and shooting genres keep you pretty limited as far as free to play goes.

Counter Strike 1.6 isn't free, but it's only 10 bucks and is easily one of the best PC shooters of all time.
