Recommend me some good xbox 360 games

I just got a xbox a couple days ago, now i need some games for it :P

I bought GTA4 and forza2, i was thinking about COD4, BF:BC, or something else. The only bad thing is that they are $60 a piece :(

So... what are some good online games for it?
 
Get the 'Orange Box'. It has 3 selective games you can play, my favorite is 'Team Fortress 2'. A VERY fun game, trust me you will not regret it. Another one from the Orange Box is 'Portal' That game is HARD when you get further but it is an awesome game. And the last game from the 'Orange Box' is 'Half-Life 2'. If you have played the original Half-Life, your gona enjoy this one.
 
Thanks, ill look at those, I'm going to the store later. I didn't know another NFS was coming out, are there alot of people on live with orange box, TF2?

Your system with addition of a Hd4870 X2 > an Xbox . :D .I grew up on a Atari 2600 (yes I am that old,hehe) I havent had a console system since PS 1 .After you get a decent comp able to play PC games what is the use.My brother has a PS 2 that I have played with and after having Pc games like balders gate and newer the consoles grow stale quick
 
haha, i know what you mean. I have only been playing PC games for the last year or so, but i still like the "feel" of console systems. The graphics are pretty slick, i just need a new LCD TV now :P

BTW, we're both in NC :)

Yep I'm from the big city of Thomasville :P ...yes the graphics are nice but I dont know if they are better than a new system with a top end video card .I havent played the 360 or the PS 3 but there isnt the depth of games you can get with computer that you get with a console ,at least for me there isnt .The advantage of consoles is the amount of good game titles they have available.I recently bought a hanns spree 28 " which is BB's version of the hanns g 28" it works better than I thought it would and is plenty big enough for me.

this ones old school, but dead rising is a lot of fun. i think its part of the greatest hits now, so it should be 20 bucks. its a simple game where you just kill zombies using a lot of different methods, don't expect a psychological thriller or anything like that

Yes alot of people play TF2. More people play it on the Computer than the 360 because the computer has Achivements and weapons and the 360 version does not. None the less its fun.
 
Thanks for the suggestions, i got COD4, Assassins Creed, and Saints Row. I'll have to get some more when i get paid, along with a new high def. TV :P

I would rent the last two, but I would also rent halo3...it was mediocre at best. I would rent just about every game that comes out before you buy it, because a lot of them suck. I'm also really picky though.
 
Project Gotham racing 4 (I actually liked this game better than Forza 2, have both)
Perfect Dark Zero (i dont know what everyone has to bitch about this game really, its good playing)
Halo 3 (speaks for itself ^.^ )
Gears of War (pretty gross, but a really good game)
and if you like fighting games, Soul Callibur 4, really nice playing aswell :)

oh, and Star Wars: Force Unleased! :P (I'm going to get it myself once its released here.. so cant say how good it really is ^.^)
 
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll probably be picking up Halo 3 next. So, maybe two weeks from now I'll have a new 37" HD TV, and more games. Got to get my pay checks :P :P

Is the force unleashed game like KOTOR or the Jedi Academy action play games? I liked both style though myself.I cant wait for the MMORPG style Star Wars game that is supposed to be in production to see what it is like
 
if you are thinking about buying halo3, don't buy it if you dont have xbox live. Live makes everygame 1000 times better, honestly i dont think i would have half the games i do just for the offline campaign, online adds so much. Just my thoughts tho.
 
I have live :). That's mostly what I play, online games. That's what really makes it fun, IMO.

Has anyone tried test drive unlimited on the 360?
