recommend motherboard

Im looking at upgrading my computer ..

currently I have a
phenom 2 940
his 4870 1GB
2 x 2GB corsair ram
m2n68-am plus motherboard ( not compatible with 940 )
western digital 500GB hardrive
420W coolmaster psu

I am thinking of buying
buy new phenom 2 555
buy new 2 x sapphire 5850
buy new 2 x 4GB corsair ram
buy new motherboard ( still debating this? )
raid 0 2 x 500GB western digital hardrives
buy new 800W coolmater psu
for just over $1000NZ

can anyone recommend a good motherboard?
 
Right now, if you are replacing your mobo and cpu, you are better off getting an intel based system in my opinion.
 
Why get the 555 when its a downgrade from the 940? The 940 has 2mb l2 cache while the 555 has only 1mb l2 cache. Get the 955/965 if you actually want to get a better cpu.
 
Im buying the 555 as a holding processor until the bulldozer cores come out ..

theres always the possibility of unlocking the extra cores as well so its a cheaper alternative to buying a decent cpu
 
isn't the 940 am3, if it is there is no point in getting a new processor, and truly, there is little chance that bulldozer will beat sandybridge, but i'm still rooting for them to beat it.
