Hi can anyone recommend a motherboard. I would like one with a video card in it. The video card does not have to be good. I won't be playing games on it and won't be over-clocking it. I've will be getting an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300, 1gb of DDR ram and 160gb SATA 3.0 gb/s hard drive.

Thanks

Why don't you go with DDR2 RAM 667mhz? You don't wanna to run DDR on a Core 2 Duo, I bet it is laggy. I would suggest the Intel DG965WH, if you don't overclock, I have it no problems except, the memory is picky. It takes only 1.8v with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 and I dropped in a Gb of DDR2 1Gb 800mhz for like $163, you can get 667mhz for like $75-90, here's a link that will help you if you choose to go this route

The sound is pretty good with the drivers that come with it and Intel Audio Studio(included). The video is pretty good but just a little overated on the box it comes in. BEWARE the driver disk that comes with this is in DVD format, when I first got my PC and didn't have a DVD drive, I just got the drivers of Intel's website. So it was cool

I don't have a motherboard to suggest to you, but I will say that from my understanding your hard drive wont run at 3.0gb/s unless you have 2 identical hard drives set to RAID 0. Just thought I would let you know

WHAT?? NO, THAT IS WRONG. You do not have to have RAID 0 to run at a transfer speed of 3.0Gb/s. As long as he has a SATA II hard drive(1x) he can go into BIOS and set SATA up with an AHCI controller.
