Recommend the best simple case

I am looking to build a computer and as far as the case, I want something with good cable management and something not too flashy. I guess something that looks more like a normal boring case! I mean it doesnt have to be too boring, but nothing that is too huge or looks too extreme or beefy or anything like that. Not a gamer here so am not going to have a high powered graphics card. What do you recommend for something like that?

How much are you wanting to spend?

Hoping around $50, but if its worth it to do a little more, I suppose I could go up closer to $100.

And how do you know the types that have space under where the motherboard mounts where you can run the cables? Or do they all do that?

For a really nice looking, elegant one you usually have to spend more than $50. A "mundane" one can be had for cheaper, though.

I remember you picked the 300 to begin with. I'm still really not fond of it due to it's lack of options, but it does fit the bill aesthetically and it seems that's the more important aspect here. Though if you're going for Antec in the price range, the One Hundred would be a good upgrade, IMO. It's a better case than the 300 by far, despite the lower model name:

The Rosewill Challenger was also in your post, yeah? It's an even better case than those two, for the most part. If you're happy with it, grab it.

If you want to spend a bit more, Cooler Master's 690 II is a good upgrade over both of those in build quality and functionality, and looks great as well. Very professional looking, IMO:

On the other hand, if you want to chop the price a bit, the Rosewill Blackbone is on sale. It's not anything spectacular in terms of features, but it does offer four front USB ports, tool free drive bays, decent cable management if you're good with zip ties, and looks that don't scream "I belong to a teenager!"

It also has a sibling from Xigmatek called the Asgard II.

I agree totally, prolly the best budget case around for non gamers and gamers alike, if I wasnt set on a full tower for my build (NZXT Phantom) the Cooler Master 690 II would have been my next choice.

Yeah that Coolermaster one does look pretty nice. So I see all the places for fans in it. Do you have to buy fans, or does it come with them? And I was thinking it would be convenient to get an internal card reader, but see those are 3.5". Since this says it just has 5.25 bays, is there anyway to make that work, or do they come in 5.25?

It come with 2 case fans. If you are non-gamer, I don't really think you need extra fan.

card reader have 5.25" version, or you can buy bay convertor

Ahhh, I really like that Coolermaster 690 you mentioned but good thing I measured the tower compartment in my desk because that would not fit. I might able to make it work if I have to, but that Rosewill on sale you mentioned would definitely work as it is much smaller. The fans on all of these are just in front and back right? So it doesnt matter the clearance up top and on the sides, right?
