Recommendation for file hosting?

hi

i want a file hosting service, normal like those rapidshare etc. with password restriction as an option, which means only those who know the password would be able to download my files and the password could be changed by the file owner (me) at anytime. You may ask why I don't zip the files with password because many of my friends who download the files feedback me that the downloaded zip archive cannot be extracted. So I give up zip.

You can use Mediafire, which is probably the best free file hosting service. It has three features, which makes it better than other free hosts. First, there is not waiting time, and download starts instantly, secondly, there is no limit on number of downloads and uploads, you can run parallel downloads, and third and most important, it supports download resume for broken downloads (for a maximum of 24 hours). Also, as per your need, it has a password protected download.
