Recommendation of Laptop? Really need help :o

Hi. Im currently living in Canada and Im planning to buy a laptop before I attend an university in september. I can pay up to 2000$ so can you guys recommend me some laptop that I should buy?

I prefer laptop that I can use for work and also for some entertainment.

Dell laptops are very nice, I've always been satisfied with their products but you may want to check out the Macbook Pros too. I have always been a windows fan but I bought this laptop because you can install Bootcamp, partition your hard drive, and run windows natively because of the intel core duo processors. This is a dream machine. With FrontRow and iLife, Mac is awesome for entertainment purposes and then you can switch over to windows for other applications not available for mac and for gamming as well. Look into it first though.

If you don't want to deal with mac though... go with Dell, I think you'll be happy.
 
Either get an e1505 with a coupon code, or get the 12" screened m1210, they are about 2000 USD when you get a 9 cell, good card, 2 gigs ram, etc. i have friends who have each, and they are both very similar. However, the m1210 has faster ram (667mhz rather than 533 i believe) and it also doesnt get nearly as hot as the e1505. It also probably has much better battery life, seeing as how its 12" instead of 15.4" and its also newer technology.
