recommendations for a good lcd monitor for gaming?

i've been looking at the vx924 and 922. the only reason i'm hesitant is because of the monitor's lack of vertical adjustment. the place where my monitor sits on my desk is already 4" above the actual desk, and i'm afraid that either of the 92x's will be too high for me! :(

924 = 350 on newegg, the 922 400.
