Recording Studio?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there is any software out there that is FREE and would let me "turn my computer into" a recording studio. I basically want to plug my electronic guitar and keyboard into the mic outlet after using different adjustments for the plug, and also a microphone to record things like vocals and drums. If anyone knows of any FREE software like this, please let me know.

nothing that you will want to listen to. if you actually do want to get into recording let me know, i can help you out. but as for free, not going to work. you need an interface, a good sound card, and some pretty serious software. If you have a mac, then you will just need the interface, because GarageBand is free with macs. and it's really good software.
