Hi all. Im not sure if im posting in the right section or not. I just bought my son a laptop..from best buy..toshiba c855-s5206windows 7. i didnt really have enough money to pay what they wanted to get for the recovery disk. I used to have a buddy who was super good with computers and he would always make his own and fix everything on his own..but has sinced passed. i been reading on line from what i found I should be able to make my own is this true? and if so How do I do it? I did go into control panel b.up n restore and i made a restore disk.. but that not the same thing right? I have a Hp..laptop and gateway tower they both have a set of recovery disk that i bought when I boutht them. I think they r 3 disk each.. I know my old gateway restore disk has every thing on it.. I can reinstall windows and every thing from these 3 disk..ive done it. but the disk i made last night from the new toshiba isnt the same thing as the gate way disk right? the restore disk I made last night wont have the O.S. on it right ... any help will be much appriciated. I know a little about alittle.. so thought this site might be able to give me some help... I read some new laptops will promt u to make one when u first boot iy up this toshibe didnt..
