recycle computer parts

anybody here recycle their old pc for money? if so for how much? the my local recycler only takes bottles, cans, and glass. they also have no clue where to go to recycle computer parts.

i just had a garage sale and sold an old pc case (steel) for 2 bucks and an old working compaq pc for 10 bucks. i'm beginning to wonder why people would buy crap unless they can make more from recycling.

I got many pc parts here and I just leave them in my garage, I'm finding someone that would buy it!!!:D
 
I got Empraizer 300W, Palit MX4000, Riva 256mb, Asus P4VP, Pentium4, StarRam 256Mb, UNB 256mb ram, 40G Hdd, Liteon CDRW, many more....

thats not that old.... hummmmm ill have to think if i can use any of it ( doing a clean out this week ) lol, installing a new fire alarm panel and security panel and i need to clean up the workshop to get to current panels lol.. am sure I can use it tho.

how are you going to do that?
 
well i have a pentium 1, pentium 2, an unknown old amd pc's, and couple of old crt monitors at my disposal. everything is intact except ram/hdd

so nobody knows about the recycling business? i don't want to give them away or sell them to you guys online but recycle them myself. i remember cleaning out my garage and this guy in a huge truck who happened to drive by asked me if i had ANY metal. this recycling business must be profitable.
