Reformating

I have not managed to reformat the drive of my omnibook... I put in the first System recovery CD, then the 6th and while the is in, I get a "Image file missing or corrupted" error... Please help! Thanks

P.S I HAVE NOT MADE THE DISKETTE THEY WANTED ME TO MAKE, BECAUSE I HAVE NO FLOPPY DRIVE.

If you are 'recovering' you dont need to reformat (and prolly shouldnt). Now if you have a compaq system then you might have done a reallyl bad thing as some of the recovery stuff is on the drive

I have an HP omnibook xt100s. It has already reformated my drive, so I cannot go back... What should I do??

Install the OS (using installation CDs, i dont think "restore" cds will do the trick although its worth a shot i guess)

Ok, i put Win XP PRO in, made a boot on CD config, and I got the following error:

Boot CD-ROM Type: Non-Emulation Booting
CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR
Invalid partition table


HELP!

Invalid partition table

= HDD problem ... you can prolly get rid of it by formatting (or hard-killing the partition and rebuilding)

Use delpart to kill the partition then reformat

add that file along with your others on your boot cd/floppy

I'm in nero.. I've got the delpart.exe file. So what emulation do I use?? (It's in french... Pas d'émulation=Non-Emulation - Emulation disquette 1,20 etc... = Diskette emulation 1,20 etc... , Emulation disque dur=Hard Disk emulation)

1. Proper bootcds dont need emulation
2. You can delete and reconfigure paritions during windows install
3. You can delet and reconfigure partions after install
