Reformatting a computer

Hello,

I currently have Windows XP installed on my computer. I want to be able to wipe the hard drive (reformat it) but I do not want to install a Operating system i just want a blank hard drive.

Could anyone give any advice :)?

Thanks

get the ultimate boot cd

no computer user should be without it

it includes both seagate and western digital setup software on the disc

GParted live for cd. The XP Installer acn be used to delete partitions and create a new primary only when installing Windows. GParted the free Linux Gnome Partition Editor can create as well as delete various type of partitions including NTFS. Once you have the new partition created and the drive is slaved to another you can use the Disk Management tool in XP to format it.
