Reformatting XP Home Question

Is there a way to reformat my C drive while still leaving XP installed. The reason I want to do this, is because I can't find my XP activation key. Is there a way to find this information?

I have 3 drives - C + D, which are partitioned drives on the same harddrive, and an external. XP is installed on C, and that is the one I want to clean.

If you guys got any links it would be great.

Any partition created that is separate from the primary the OS is on can be reformatted without worry about reinstalling Windows. A second partition is considered a separate logical drive. You can even delete the current D partition and create one or more new ones to replace it. Simply right clicking on the D drive in either the MyComputer or Windows Explorer window you can choose the format option there. That will clean everything off of the current D partition without touching the C primary. You may want to review the information seen at http://www.directron.com/formatdrive.html#4
