refurbed laptops

Hello all,

I'm looking for a laptop primarily for internet and video cam purposes with an occasional one or two games loaded. I have been looking at refurbed laptops but am unsure how good these are? where to buy?

Also, what would be the minimum requirements I should look at for the above purposes?

Any good deals anyone knows of?

Thanks for the replies....

They'd be my last resort (if possible), but I would think they're all right, as long as they have a very good warranty with it.

Ive never had luck with used laptops, they mainly fail within the first year. Its cheaper just to get a $399 Dell Vostro 1000 laptop.

I agree with others. We thought about getting a refurbished alienware laptop at first, but after reading the fine print, they could have "moderate physical imperfections"

I have 2 refurb Dell's and I would do it a 3rd time. I bought a Dell 8200 in 02' and put it through a lot of abuse and it still works like new. I just bought a XPS M1710 refurb and saved a bunch. Same warranty as a new one.

I got my laptop used from my sister. Still works great. I bought my internet access card refurbished from ATT and the first on they sent me didn't work. So they sent out another one and this one works with no prolems. So I guess it's hit and miss with a refrubished electronics.
