Region/Copyright Protection Issue with BD-ROM Drive

I have a Samsung BD-ROM drive installed in The Blue Beast, and it will give me
issues every now and then when it comes to playing DVDs.
(I am not using it for Blu-Ray movies because I am not about to dump $texas
on software to play something I can just download with a digital code thingy!)

I will put in my DVD (region 1 disc, region 1 drive) but it will tell me that there
is an issue with copyright protection between the disc drive/video card/PC, then
it ejects the disc. However, if I reboot the PC, the problem doesn't occur....for a
short while until it does again.

You most likely have bad or pirated software installed that is causing the issue. What cd/dvd software do you have installed?

The issue only occurs in Windows Media Player/Windows Media Center. The discs play perfectly fine in VLC and InterActual 2.0.

Then use either vlc or interactual player. I would assume something is up with media player.
