I was trying to figure out how to screen-grab from video, and finally got it to work with HyperSnap 6. Then I needed to figure out how to get my computer to play Region 1 discs (it's locked to Region 2). I read up a little on firmware, and then followed a link from a Google search to a site where I downloaded some downgrade... now my computer won't play any DVDs. I might've downgraded it to a CD drive. I'm not sure. I don't have any tech knowledge.
My drive's model is DVD-RW IDE1008.
Could someone help me, please? I just want to remove the region locking so I can screen-grab from all my DVDs.
