If i wanted to "modify" the "data", what would i write after "vc"?

This is supposed to be for a beginners visual basic project. If anyone could offer any advice that would be great.

First of all, why do you need to modify that registry entry? and second of all, what is supposed to happen when you "modify" the "data"?
