regular WoW to new burning crusade...

i barely started playing wow..like three weeks ago....but i have a question that i hope can be answered...are people going to move away to the expansion pack and leave the old wow?? since i barely started playing i dont want to move to the expansion pack...i want to get atleast 3 lvl 60's..or something like that so that i can see the whole game....so are the old realms going to get abandoned or do you think new peeps are going to take the place of the people that are leaving??? yeah....:eek: so if anyone has any comments or answers..i would like to hear them thanks
 
Yes and no,alot of them will buy the expansion and play it and go to the new content,but the maps of the current WoW will still be in frequent use seeing as how theres no way to really ignore places like ironforge and orgrimmar,they are the capitals.The expansion takes place in the dark portal,well...people arent going to just stay there.No new realms will be added,well some will,but all realms will be upgraded so that you can play the expansion on them. Yes new players will come,and they will take place of some oldies...but who cares,out with the old in with the new,and alot of oldies will stay.
 
People dont leave the realms, the higher level people will go to different zones though. You dont have anything to worry about.
