My laptop shipped with Windows 8.1.

Does anybody know where I can get an copy of the Windows 8.1 ISO so I can reinstall it?

Will my windows automatically activate after I install it since newer laptops no longer have the windows license key sticker to the laptop?

Why use the ISO? Windows 8.1 has a built in restore functionality.

In the case where it says swipe, just move your mouse to the bottom right corner of the screen so the charms appear.

To reset your PC
  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

  2. Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.

  3. Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, tap or click Get started.

  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

    Note
    • You'll be asked to choose whether you want to erase data quickly or thoroughly. If you choose to erase data quickly, some data might be recoverable using special software. If you choose to erase data thoroughly, this will take longer but it makes recovering data less likely.

Yes however I forgot to mention I upgraded to windows 10 and I want to get windows 8.1 back.

I read somewhere that I can download the windows 8.1 ISO from Microsoft website, does anybody know the link for it?

Also will my windows automatically activate when I reinstall windows 8.1?

thanks. Just installed windows 8.1 and it automatically activated when I connected to the internet.
