Anyone else cant read this?

Anyway, I was wondering it its possible to back up Windows Update files, so if I reinstall Windows, I wont have to connect to the internet unprotected, I can just put the files right back on?

Thanks

yeah but you have to install sp2 before sp3. i dont know why they dont combine all the updates so you only need to do one but its not

Don't worry about connecting to the Internet unprotected. You won't infect your computer (unless you go to unsafe websites like torrents and download all kinds of stuff). Best is to go straight to an antivirus website (and download the Internet Security version which is better than simple AntiVirus when connected) and install one.

ohh ok good.
So if I reboot I just go straight to the Microsoft/Internet Explorer updates.
And afterwards I should do the Antivirus?

cool. thanks everyone :)

you could use a program called vlite that allows you to make your own bootable xp cd! you can install all the sp's and updates onto the iso and then burn it and use it as normal
