reinstalling windows w/ 2nd HD

I am preparing to clean my hard drive by reinstalling windows. Is it possible to keep files on my 2nd HD where windows in not installed when I reinstall on my other HD or will both be deleted?
(Obviously I'm going to backup my important files on a seperate media in case something bad happens.)

This should work just fine. Every time I've reinstalled windows, and had data on the slave drive, nothing was ever touched. Backing up is still a good idea, just in case.

What I do is unplug my 2nd drive just to make sure windows isnt touching it.

It shouldn't touch it as long as you pick the correct drive to install onto

unplug your second hdd to avoid any issues
