I want to know which is the most reliable FS that can -

1. Manage the disk in perfect order
2. Recover the most corrupted data
3. Support various Operating Systems
4. Easy maintenance (from virus,...)

It would be better if you give in full detail.

Also mention the best tool to manage disk -
Norton PartitionMagic/Windows Disk Management/Acronis DM/...
Thanks.

3. Support various Operating Systems
That would probably be FAT but the rest would probably be ext2/3 which is used in linux and bsd (and windows if you get an ifs driver). NTFS is ok but it's got limited OS support (win2k and later versions of windows and linux through a driver)

Cromewell, Does ext3 support XP/Vista?, I dont see ext3 in 'My Computer'.
Wots IFS drive?

Wots HFS+, can Windows access that?
