Reloaded Windows XP but no sound at all

More specifically, your Mother Board came with a CD that contains everything necessary for Windows to be compatible with it. During it's Install, Windows loads generic drivers to get basic functionality, but as you've noticed, it's very limited.

Place the MoBo CD into your drive and wait a few seconds - it should auto-run. There will be a list of drivers (Chipset functions, Network, Sound, etc.) Load each one (will require multiple restarts along the way) and when it's done you should have a near-100% compatible system. Anything remaining can be fixed by going to Windows Update (since you will now have a working LAN connection).
