'Remote control' software

google is having a hell of a time with this one...

I have my Harmony remote control and the infrared receiver that came with my asus Mobo and i wanted to use the remote to control ALL of the functions of my pc which the asus software is not equipped to do. Is there any good thirty party software that will let me customize pc controls for my remote?

Yeah I have an infrared card in my PC to use with my Windows Media Center remote, I've always wondered if I could program it to my liking.
 
Im curious about this aswell. I have a remote control for my amplifier that I have connected to my PC line out, and it has buttons on it for pause/play etc that are for the CD player radio etc of the same brand as the amp. I came across this program:

I am hoping that with an infrared receiver (my computer doesnt have one, I guess i will need to buy a usb one) I can then play/pause while watching a movie, and the up and down volume buttons will still control the amplifier. It could also be used to control a tv card I think. Has ayone used this program before?
