Remote Desktop Conection Dropping Out

Hi,

We are running our epos system through remote desktop where our four centres connect to a server based in one our shops.

We have been having a problem for a while now that after leaving remote desktop for a few minutes it times out. This then leaves our epos system running on this session. The user will then log back into the remote desktop and have two epos systems running. This casues problems :-(

Any ideas on how to stop the timing out?

If the server is the computer you're remotely controlling, you can change the timeout settings by logging in as an admin and going to Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, then Terminal Services Configuration. Open the Connections folder on the left and right-click RDP-Tcp and select Properties. Click the Sessions tab and put a tick mark next to Override User Settings. Then, set the Idle Session Limit to whatever you want. The maximum is 2 hours. Cheers.
