remote desktop connection

hi guys,

ive got 2 computers one in my bedroom running windows vista home pre and one in the spare bedroom running windows 2000 pro, my question is can i use my one to remote desktop to the comp in spare bedroom or not??? please help if i can i would like to know how to do it, thanks alot

Try them both. I ran anywhere and works fine.
www.realvnc.com try personal edition.
To me its more preference. (what ya like).
They all work.

Why would you use one of those when you can just use the built-in Windows Remote Desktop Connection?

I think it was more preferences omega than anything else. i bought the personal edition and upgraded to the enterprise. Will i need these options. Likely not. My choice. The only thing i use it for is if i make a house call i can access my computer. In fact, its mostly used for fixing my kids computer. I really found this to be some whip asss sheet. Mostly options that are available. i dont think the xp remote will give me a lot of options. The encryption was available and i also port through a private proxy webtunnel.

i want to use windows own remote desktop connection but i cant because one of my computers runs on windows 2000

EDIT: im now using VNC and its really good ive heard of it before but can anyone tell me why it seems really slow, do i have to open a port on my router or is it just my internet connection

Why would you be accessing it over the internet if it's on the same network?

ok accessing it over the network LAN why is it slow?

though im not having that issue i would look at changing the res.
I don't know if you have the diffirent options available with the free.

with the free one all you get is the remote access and thats it no extras just remote access to other pc
