well ive been trying to set up my RDC but my router has been giving me some trouble. im not sure what to do. anyone? also i have dual boot setup with SUSE 10.0 and was wondering if i could try accessing it from my other OS, to test it and incase i need it for future use. like maybe to get a file or something...

Remote Desktop Typically Uses Port 3389.

To use remote desktop with with a router you have to open port 3389 and forward it to ONE local PC on the network. For example, if you have 4 computers and you want the third to use Remote Desktop, open port 3389 and forward to 192.168.1.103.

Also make sure your OS is configured to ACCEPT remote desktop. (Find out by right clicking my computer asnd going to properties then remote)

Note: only XP pro and media center edition can HOST remote desktop.
