Ive been messing around with this for the first time and ive got it to work with no problems. The only thing thats disappointing is the video lag. When i share a folder on my network, video loads a bit slow sometimes, but plays perfectly. Is this lag caused by all the extra info i assume RMC needs and is saturating the network?

Let me get this straight: You are playing a video off your computer on the computer you are connected to with RDC?
The lag may be attributed to several things, including RDC's virtual video driver that boosts performance, network speed, CPU usage, etc.
In your case, it's the network, there is so much traffic on it when RDC is connected to another computer, and WMP loads the video into RAM or swap first before it plays, so when you open the video it's got to copy from that computer on the network to yours, which is slow because of RDC.

Im am trying to watch a video, which is on a server, without transfering it, on my remote computer.

If the network can't handle RDC and playing a video, what is the solution? I thought about windows server and just opening an app, instead of the whole computer.

I really have never been able to watch video well at all. The graphics for RDP and VNC and the like are kind of wimpy.

Yeah, i was also wondering if i could stream live tv, but i think this maybe asking too much and media player wouldnt run the TV card. Thanks for the help.
