Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows of an application that allows you to remote to another computer and use its screen as an extended desktop or something like that?
no, I want to basically use a screen off my laptop as if it was plugged into my computer and use it as an extended desktop screen.
...well its nothing to do with that...but yes my video card supports dual monitors, still need the software to do that
So will your laptop be sitting right next to your pc or will it be in a different room? Because if it will be right next to the pc, can't you just connect it to your video card? Hm, not sure if that would work.
Anyway, all I could find so far is this. Check it out and see if it helps.
Remote display server (mac)
or this one
Remote Display Server (windows)
They might be the same thing, because the "mac" one says it is also for pc. Just look at both and see if we're getting closer to answering your question.![]()

just found this for the previous program
Remote Display has been withdrawn on 2007/07/16. Please do not purchase a license.

Looks interesting, but I have no idea how it would work since laptops dont have a VGA input. Unless it just uses a USB connection.Hmm, I'm not too sure about that. Check this out that I just found.

And here is an article about it (Using your laptop as a second screen). I haven't read it yet, but it has links for other options as well as the maxivista link.
